A cocktail always goes down nicely, whether at happy hour, with your favourite dish or just to quench that afternoon thirst. Sweet, sour, fruity or chocolaty, the restaurants at Les Promenades Gatineau have lots of choices. We’ve come up with five we really like.
Over to you, curious taste buds!
GHANDI – LA BELLE ET LA BOEUF
With some 50 cocktails, it’s hard to pick a favourite at La Belle et la Bœuf. But a new one this season has made us particularly happy — the Gandhi. Fruity and sweet, this cocktail made with watermelon juice, aloe vera honey dew and nectarine mint syrup is already making our mouth water.
P.S.: It’s just perfect with the salmon poke bowl.
APRICOT BERRY SOUR – SHAKER
Considered by many to be the happy hour meeting spot par excellence in the Outaouais, Shaker offers 30 exclusive cocktails flavourfully created by their mixologists. Our favourite is the apricot berry sour, a tasty mix of Aperol and Quebec wildberry kombucha, with a touch of bubble gum syrup and lime juice. It doesn’t get more refreshing than this!
MILK CHOCOLATE MILKSHAKE – CACAO 70
They may not have cocktails, but Cacao 70 definitely has the best milkshakes in the region. To satisfy your sweet tooth, we dare you to try the milk chocolate milkshake. It’s simply de-ca-dent.
If you’re feeling it, go all the way with that sugar craving and share a choco-nut waffle. The ultimate!
MATCHA ICED TEA – DAVID’S TEA
A summer without iced tea? That’s tough. A summer without matcha iced tea? Impossible. Fortunately, David’s Tea has a range of matcha teas to please you. Our favourite: the peach matcha. With its fruity notes of peach, this matcha will reinvent your morning iced tea habit.
PINK MIMOSA – ALLÔ! MON COCO
Brunch is good. But summer brunch with a mimosa is better! Not being able to try the typical mimosa with orange juice at Allô! Mon Coco, we found a pink mimosa, with prosecco rosé and lychee juice. Whether with eggs benedict, fresh waffles or savoury crepes, it will add lots of flavour to your breakfast.
We wish you a good summer, one with plenty of patio time and cocktails. But remember, as they say, everything in moderation!
