Fall 2018 footwear: 5 fashion trends

To face the rain, cold and even snow, you’ve got to find footwear that does it for you. While every season brings its share of new stuff, fall 2018 has got us particularly stoked! Ankle boots, taller boots, prints and bright colours — here are five trends on the shoe racks this fall.

Combat boots

If you’ve seen them a lot lately topping off the looks of American stars, it’s because combat boots are in fashion this season. Both comfortable and city-smart, these 90s-styled boots go just right with a wide-leg pant. For a more sassy, rebellious look, wear them with a dress or skirt. You’re sure to find something at Browns.

Chelsea boots

Happily for us, these unbeatable English boots are back in the stores this season. Nice and cozy, Chelsea boots go superbly with jeans. But why not try them with a skirt? Whether you’re looking for something in black, brown or beige, you’ll find the right pair for you at Spring. That said, we can’t deny we’ve got a bit of a soft spot for these Umigons.

If you’re not afraid to surprise and you like patterns, there’s something for you this fall. Bold and sexy, prints are available at many Les Promenades Gatineau shops. With stiletto, flat or wedge heels, you’ll find boots of any height with animal, floral or plaid patterns to suit you at Aldo and Rieker.

Western boots

Yes ladies, Western-style boots are making a big comeback this season. In leather or suede, black or brown, you’ll find lots of boots like this in the next few months.Le Pacha has one of our favourites, a high-end fashion model from Spain.

Hello colour! Red was all over the shelves this summer, and it’s still on a roll this fall! Just what do we like about it? Its mildly eccentric side and the dash of colour it adds to our everyday wear. It’s perfect for adding a bit of fantasy to your daytime look. Just try it! For your red fall footwear, head to Forever 21.
