December 28.
My bad hair day and my vitamin deficiency follow me as we head off to Les Promenades.
Goal number one: Find some Christmas stocking stuffers.
Goal number two (and equally important): Get myself shock treatment for my dry mane.
I don’t know if it’s because I’ve been hydrating it with cosmopolitans rather than refreshing water, but my hair isn’t cooperating any more. Where did my soft and shiny locks go? ’Tis a mystery.
PROFESSIONAL HAIR PRODUCTS
So off to Éléganza, that new boutique I haven’t had the chance to check out yet…
Bingo! A real Ali Baba’s cave! All those professional hair products that usually can’t be had for love or money — right there. And super affordable, too. It’s a hairdresser’s paradise!
MOISTURIZING TREATMENT
I see at a glance that there’s no shortage of moisturizing products. After a diagnosis, they suggest a deep treatment from Lanza. We’ll see if it lives up to its billing. I’ll keep you posted.
HAIR EXTENSIONS
With the client (me) satisfied, Fatima, the energetic owner, suggests coloured hair extensions. In case you’re wondering, they’re made up of 100% real hair.
So the results are very natural. It’s a good option when you’re tired of what’s on your head… It changes your style pretty fast, thank you!
MAKEUP
Personally, I don’t think I have the guts to go for the extensions. I settle for nail colour. There’s a wide selection of colours. It looks like good quality. I approve.
And so, welcome to Les Promenades Gatineau, Éléganza (a.k.a. Ali Baba’s cave)!
